Why A Club?
The KC3 club aims to create opportunities for students to compete in professional chess tournaments through club meetings with our coach on Thursday evenings. Our logo is inspired by the promotion of pawns, as it symbolizes how our hard work will lead to success.

Club Activities
As our club will generally have around 16 meetings each semester, we will have a wide variety of club activities prepared for each meeting. Some example activities are listed below:

- Learning new openings
- Learning different tactics
- Learning endgame theory
- Practice matches with other members
- Reviewing tournament games
- Mock tournaments
- Simultaneous exhibition with the coach
- Playing chess variants

Of course, during practice time you are welcome to do anything chess-related! Feel free to challenge the coach anytime as well!
In 2021, Charlie Ku, Jonathan Yang, and John Mai founded the KC3 Chess Club to gather all chess enthusiasts in Kang Chiao.
